Upper Nazareth Township Zoning Ordinance #125 adopted July 18, 2007, can be purchased at the Township building for a fee.
Permits Required include:
- Moving-
- Any citizen moving in, out, or within Upper Nazareth Township must obtain a moving permit in order to comply with the Township Ordinance #2 of 1963.
- The Upper Nazareth Township office should be notified of any changes in occupancy.
- The required information for a moving permit is the names of all residents in the household, occupation, address moved from, address moved to, phone numbers where you can be contacted and date moved.

- Before doing any type of construction, the Zoning Officer should be contacted to find out the current requirements. Regulations for the Uniform Construction Code are constantly changing and updated.
- Note to residents...
- All residential home improvement contractors are required to be licensed by the state. It is recommended that you ask your home improvement contractor for thier state certification number.
- It is also your responsibility to check property/lot deed restrictions before signing permit applications.
- Permits can be obtained at the Township Building, located on Newport Ave.

- Commercial Contractor's license-
Any commercial contractor/subcontractor working in Upper Nazareth Township needs an Upper Nazareth Township contractor's license and will be requested to provide the Township with a current certificate of insurance.

Business Registry- Upper Nazareth Township requires businesses to fill out a registration form and return it to the Township Building. The registration is used by Emergency response personnel and the tax office personnel to keep you informed of requirements of filing EMSD and other tax requirements.
